How will the course work?
Once you email, I'll send you the course ID for www.coursecompass.com. You can buy the access code online for $65 or at the college bookstore.
Learning the material: In the CourseCompass system is an interactive multimedia textbook. You'll read it and watch videos of an instructor working through examples. There will be chances for you to practice, like in a face to face course, and other tools like interactive animations to help you with the content.
Each week, I'll post information to CourseCompass about what we're doing that week, tips and hints, and upcoming test dates.
Homework: Your homework will be in the MyMathLab section of CourseCompass. You'll have online homework that instantly gives you feedback and lets you rework the problems until they're correct. There are many help aids if you get stuck.
You'll come to campus once a week to test.
I'll be available online or by phone for help. I'll have set office hours online as well. Our syllabus will have more information on how to reach me.
